इलेक्टोरल बॉण्डमधील भ्रष्टाचारामुळे नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार व भाजपच्या अब्रूची लक्तरे वेशीवर टांगली गेलेली आहेत. याचा फटका बसल्यास लोकसभेच्या निवडणुकीत भाजपचा दारुण पराभव होवू शकतो. हा पराभव टाळण्यासाठी मोदी सरकारने डॅमेज कंट्रोल करण्यास सुरुवात केलेली आहे. या डॅमेज कंट्रोलचा भाग म्हणून सध्या या देणगीदारांच्या कंपन्यांवरच धाडी टाकल्या जात आहेत. मात्र या धाडी केवळ जनतेची दिशाभूल करण्यासाठी आहेत, अशी धक्कादायक माहिती ‘स्प्राऊट्स’च्या टीमला आढळून आलेले आहे.
इलेक्टोरल बॉण्डच्या ( electoral bonds) माध्यमातून झालेला भ्रष्टाचार हा जगातील सर्वात मोठा महाघोटाळा the world’s biggest scam मानला जातो. हा महाघोटाळा केवळ एक स्कॅम नाही, तर घोटाळ्याचे एक महाभांडार आहे. या महाघोटाळ्यासाठी खंडणीचे सर्वात मोठे रॅकेट चालवले गेले, असा आरोप विरोधकांनी केला आहे. या आरोपाला केंद्रीय अर्थमंत्री निर्मला सीतारामन ( Nirmala Sitharaman) यांचे पती व अर्थतज्ज्ञ प्रभाकर (Parakala Prabhakar) यांनीही सहमती दर्शवली आहे.
या आरोपांना उत्तर देण्यासाठी काही देणगीदारांवरच सीबीआय (CBI ) धाडी टाकत आहेत. या धाडी म्हणजे केवळ एक दिखावा आहे. यातून काहीही निष्पन्न होणार नाही, हे स्पष्ट आहे. यातून नरेंद मोदी हे स्वतःची व त्यांच्या पक्षाची इमेज बिल्डिंग करण्याचा केविलवाणा प्रयत्न करीत आहेत, हे मात्र दिसून येते.
मेघा इंजिनिअरिंग अँड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर लिमिटेड Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL) ही यापैकीच एक कंपनी. या कंपनीने ९६६ कोटी रुपयांचा पक्षनिधी ( इलेक्टोरल बॉण्डच्या माध्यमातून) दिलेला होता. मात्र याच कंपनीवर १२ एप्रिल रोजी सीबीआयची धाड टाकण्यात आली. ही धाड केंद्र सरकारच्या इशाऱ्यावरून टाकली गेली, असाही आरोप विरोधकांनी केलेला आहे.

मेघा इंजिनिअरिंग अँड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर लिमिटेड ही हैदराबादमधील कंपनी आहे. या कंपनीला आतापर्यंत हजारो कोटी रुपयांचे कंत्राटे मिळालेली आहेत. पी. पी. रेड्डी ( Pamireddy Pitchi Reddy) व पी. व्ही. कृष्णा रेड्डी (PV Krishna Reddy) या काका-पुतण्याची ही कंपनी. भातातील सर्वात श्रीमंत उद्योगपतींच्या यादीत (Forbs Magazine) या रेड्डी कुटुंबीयांचा समावेश आहे. या कंपनीवर यापूर्वीही भ्रष्टाचाराचे आरोप झालेले होते. केंद्रीय दळणवळ मंत्री नितीन गडकरी हे स्वतः भ्रष्टाचारी आहेत, त्यांच्या भ्रष्ट कार्यपद्धतीवर ‘कॅग’नेही ताशेरे ओढलेले आहेत. या भ्रष्ट कंपनीला हजारो कोटी रुपयांचे कंत्राट देण्यात गडकरी यांचेही मोठे ‘अर्थ’पूर्ण योगदान आहे.
मेघा इंजिनिअरिंगने इलेक्टोरल बॉण्डच्या माध्यमातून देणग्या दिल्यानंतर त्यांना हजारो कोटींचे कंत्राट मिळालेले आहे. याच मुख्य parental कंपनीच्या वतीने Tv9 Network (TV9 Bharatvarsha) हे न्यूज चॅनेल चालवण्यात येते. मराठी, हिंदी,तेलगू, कन्नड, गुजराती, बंगाली व इतर भाषेतही हे चॅनेल चालवले जाते. सरकारी दरबारात लायझनिंग करण्यासाठी व स्वतःची काळी कृत्ये लपविण्यासाठी या चॅनेलचा वापर केला जातो, अशी माहितीही ‘स्प्राऊट्स’ला मिळालेली आहे.

Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL) is one such company. This company had given a party fund of Rs 966 crore (through electoral bonds). But on April 12, the CBI raided this company. According to the opposition, the central government ordered the launch of this raid.

Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited is a Hyderabad-based company. This company has received contracts worth thousands of crores of rupees so far. P. P. Reddy (Pamireddy Pitchi Reddy) and P. V. PV Krishna Reddy are uncle-nephew. The Reddy family is included in the Forbs magazine list of the richest industrialists in India.
This company has been accused of corruption in the past. Union Communications Minister Nitin Gadkari is himself corrupt, his corrupt practices have also been caught by the ‘CAG’. Gadkari also made a significant financial contribution by awarding contracts worth thousands of crores to this corrupt company.
The donation of electoral bonds has resulted in contracts worth thousands of crores for the company.
According to the ECI data, Megha Engineering spent Rs 966 crore on electoral bonds between April 2019 and January 2024. The figure may be higher if we include its unpublished donations in 2018-19.
Tv9 Network (TV9 Bharatvarsha) is operated by the same main parent company. This channel is also run in Marathi, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali, and other languages. The channels are known for its pro-government coverage.
‘Sprouts’ has also received information that these channels are used for liaising with the government court and to conceal their dark activities.
