तहसीलदार, महसूल विभागातील अधिकारी यांच्याशी संगनमत करून ‘मेघा इंजिनीरिंग’ या कंपनीने शेतकऱ्यांची बनावट कागदपत्रे बनवली व त्याआधारे शेकडो शेतकऱ्यांची कोट्यवधी रुपयांची फसवणूक केली, अशी खळबळजनक माहिती ‘स्प्राऊट्स’च्या (Sprouts) ‘स्पेशल इन्व्हेस्टीगेशन टीम’च्या (SIT ) हाती आलेली आहे.
महाराष्ट्रातील सातारा- सोलापूर रस्त्याचे रुंदीकरण व मजबुतीकरणाचे काम सुरु आहे. या रस्त्याचे कंत्राट हे ‘महाराष्ट्र राज्य रस्ते विकास महामंडळा’ने (एमएसआरडीसी ) ‘मेघा इंजिनिअरिंग अँड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर लिमिटेड – Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL) या कंपनीला दिले आहे.
रस्त्याच्या या कामासाठी कंपनीला हजारो ब्रास मुरूम वापरण्याची गरज आहे. हा मुरूम खणून काढण्यासाठी जमिनीचे मालक, महसूल खाते, ग्रामपंचायत, स्थानिक पोलीस स्टेशन व इतर सरकारी खात्याची परवानगी लागते.
‘मेघा इंजिनिअरिंग’च्या अधिकाऱ्यांनी मात्र काही शेतकऱ्यांची बनावट कागदपत्रे बनवली व त्याआधारे शेतकऱ्यांच्या शेतातील मातीसाठी बेकायदेशीरपणे खोदकाम केले, त्यातून कोट्यवधी रुपयांची माती उत्खनन करून काढली व ती माती या रस्त्याच्या कामासाठी वापरली, असा आरोप स्थानिक शेतकऱ्यांनी ‘स्प्राऊट्स’च्या टीमशी बोलताना केला आहे.
उत्तखननामुळे शेतजमिनीचे कायमचे नुकसान:
रामचंद्र दाजी कदम या शेतकऱ्याचे सातारा जिल्ह्यातील कोरेगाव तालुक्यात वडाचीवाडी येथे खासगी शेत आहे. या शेतातील माती बेकायदेशीरपणे १० फुटाचे उत्खनन करून काढण्यात आली. त्यासाठी ‘मेघा इंजिनीरिंग’च्या अधिकाऱ्यांनी कदम यांच्या चक्क खोट्या सह्या केल्या व बनावट कागदपत्रे तयार केली व त्याआधारे शेतातील मातीही कदम यांची परवानगी न घेता काढली व ती रस्ताच्या कामात वापरली. आता या जमिनीवर कायमस्वरूपी शेतीही करता येत नाही, त्यामुळे या शेतकऱ्याचे कोट्यवधी रुपयांचे नुकसान झाले आहे.
तक्रारींना कचऱ्याची टोपली:
कदम यांनी झालेल्या कोट्यवधी रुपयांच्या नुकसानीसाठी ‘मेघा इंजिनीरिंग’ व त्याची उपकंत्राटदार कंपनी ‘प्रगती कन्स्ट्रक्शन’ (Pragati Construction ) यांना जबाबदार धरले आहे. या सर्वांवर कडक कारवाई करण्यात यावी, अशी मागणीही त्यांनी महसूल मंत्री राधाकृष्ण विखे- पाटील, सचिव, तहसीलदार संगमेश कोडे (Sangmesh Kode ) व जिल्हाधिकारी जितेंद्र डुडी (Jitendra Dudi) यांच्याकडे केलेल्या तक्रारींतून केली आहे. या तक्रारींचा त्यांनी वारंवार पाठपुरावाही केला.
तक्रारदार शेतकऱ्यांवरच कारवाई :
कदम यांच्या सततच्या पाठपुराव्यामुळे आपले भ्रष्टाचाराचे बिंग बाहेर फुटू नये, यासाठी खाणीकर्म अधिकारी अमोल थोरात यांनी तहसीलदार कोडे यांच्यावर दबाव आणला व कदम यांच्यावरच दंडात्मक कारवाई केली व ‘मेघा इंजिनीरिंग’च्या भ्रष्ट कारभारावर पांघरूण घातले.
‘मेघा इंजिनिअरिंग’चा इतिहास:
● मेघा इंजिनिअरिंग ही हैद्राबाद येथील कंपनी सुरुवातीपासूनच वादग्रस्त आहे. पी. पी. रेड्डी ( Pamireddy Pitchi Reddy) व पी. व्ही. कृष्णा रेड्डी (PV Krishna Reddy) या काका-पुतण्याची ही कंपनी आहे. या कंपनीने ९६६ कोटी रुपयांचे इलेक्टोरल बॉण्ड खरेदी केले होते. त्यानंतर त्यांना अनेक सरकारी कंत्राटे आणखी मोठया प्रमाणावर मिळाली.
● समृद्धी महामार्गातील एका टप्प्याचे काम या कंपनीने केले आहे. तर मुंबई महानगर प्रदेशातील महत्त्वाकांक्षी अशा बोरिवली-ठाणे दुहेरी बोगद्याचे कंत्राटी कामही ‘मेघा इंजिनीरिंग’लाच मिळालेले आहे.
● विरार- अलिबाग बहुउद्देशीय मार्गिका, पुणे वर्तुळाकार रस्ता आणि जालना- नांदेड द्रुतगती महामार्ग या तीन महत्वाकांक्षी प्रकल्पासाठीही या कंपनीने ८ निविदा सादर केल्या आहेत.
● केंद्रीय दळणवळ मंत्री नितीन गडकरी हे महाभ्रष्टाचारी आहेत. त्यांनीही या कंपनीला हजारो कोटी रुपयांची कंत्राटे मिळवून देण्यात सहकार्य केले आहे, अशी माहिती उपलब्ध आहे.
● ‘मेघा इंजिनिअरिंग’ या मुख्य parental कंपनीच्या वतीने Tv9 Network हे न्यूज चॅनेलही चालवले जाते. सरकारी दरबारात लायझनिंग करण्यासाठी व स्वतःची काळी कृत्ये लपविण्यासाठी या चॅनेलचा वापर केला जातो, असा आरोपही विरोधकांकडून सातत्याने केला जातो.
‘Megha Engineering’ cheats hundreds of farmers for crores of rupees

The Sprouts’ SIT has come to the sensational information that the company ‘Megha Engineering’ in connivance with Tehsildar, and revenue department officials made fake documents of farmers and cheated hundreds of farmers for crores of rupees.
Widening and strengthening of the Satara-Solapur road in Maharashtra is underway. The contract for this road was awarded by ‘Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation’ (MSRDC) to ‘Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL) company.
The company required thousands of brass ‘murum’ soil for this road work. Permission from the land owner, revenue department, village panchayat, local police station and other government departments is required to dig this murum from private landowners-farmers.
The officials of ‘Megha Engineering’, however, made fake documents of some farmers and submitted them to the revenue department without the knowledge of farmers and illegally excavated soil worth crores of rupees from nearby farmers’ fields, and used the soil for this road, the local farmers have alleged while talking to the Sprouts’ team.
Permanent loss of agricultural land due to mining
Ramchandra Daji Kadam, a farmer, owns private agricultural land at Wadachiwadi in Koregaon taluka of Satara district. The soil in this field was extracted illegally by excavating 10 feet in 2 acres of field. For that, the officials of ‘Megha Engineering’ made fake signatures of Kadam and prepared fake documents and based on that, they excavated the soil from the land without obtaining Kadam’s permission and used it for the road work. Now this land cannot be cultivated permanently, due to which this farmer has suffered a loss of crores of rupees.
Complaints Trash
Kadam has held ‘Megha Engineering’ and its subcontractor company ‘Pragati Construction’ responsible for the loss of crores of rupees. He has also demanded that strict action should be taken against all these through complaints made to Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, Secretary, Tehsildar Sangamesh Kode, and Collector Jitendra Dudi. He also followed up on these complaints repeatedly.
Action against the complainant farmers
Due to Kadam’s constant follow-up, mining officer Amol Thorat pressured Tehsildar Kode and took punitive action against Kadam himself and covered up the corrupt activities of ‘Megha Engineering’.
History of ‘Megha Engineering’
● Megha Engineering, a Hyderabad-based company, has been controversial since its inception. Pamireddy Pitchi Reddy and P. V. Krishna Reddy. This company is owned by the uncle-nephew. This company had purchased electoral bonds worth Rs 966 crore. After that, he got many government contracts on a bigger scale.
● This company has done the work of one phase of the Samriddhi Highway. Megha Engineering has also been awarded the contract for the Borivali-Thane twin tunnel in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
● The company has also submitted 8 tenders for three ambitious projects namely Virar-Alibagh Multi-Purpose Corridor, Pune Circular Road, and Jalna-Nanded Expressway.
● Nitin Jairam Gadkari is an Indian politician from Maharashtra who is the current Minister for Road Transport & Highways in the Government of India. He is a corrupt minister. He has also helped this company in getting contracts worth thousands of crores of rupees.
● A news channel Tv9 Network is also run by the main parent company ‘Megha Engineering’. The opposition has also consistently alleged that this channel is used for liaising with the government court and to hide its dark deeds.
