Maharashtra politics was rocked today after a sensational war of words erupted between Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan and senior NCP leader Eknath Khadse. The controversy stems from a viral video on social media, prompting Khadse to make a grave allegation — claiming that Mahajan is involved in an inappropriate relationship with a senior woman IAS officer.
In a fiery press statement, Khadse alleged that even Union Home Minister Amit Shah is aware of the alleged relationship. He went a step further and declared that if he ever meets Shah, he would directly question him about the matter. The viral video, which is circulating widely on social platforms, claims that Shah had confronted Mahajan regarding these allegations.

• Responding sharply, Girish Mahajan hit back:

“If I speak, Eknath Khadse will have to walk with his face blackened. I dare him to present a single piece of evidence — if he does, I will quit politics,” Mahajan told reporters.
He added:
“If I reveal just one secret from Khadse’s own household, people will beat him with slippers.”
The Sprouts News team reviewed the viral clip, which not only implicates Mahajan but also alleges financial irregularities involving BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar. According to the video, Mungantiwar allegedly spent ₹90 crore on his government bungalow, with the funds reportedly routed through shell companies based in Mauritius — a claim that has further added fuel to the political fire.
These explosive allegations have left the political landscape rattled, with demands now rising for an official inquiry. While no formal complaint has been filed yet, the seriousness of the charges has sparked widespread debate.
