A massive scandal has erupted at K.M. Agarwal College, Kalyan, as the Khadakpada Police Station has registered an Atrocity Act case against 158 people, including Principal Dr. Anita Manna and members of the management committee.

According to police sources, the case stems from serious allegations of caste-based discrimination and wrongful termination. Bhaurao Tayade, a library staff member belonging to a Scheduled Caste, was falsely accused and forcefully removed from his job. Similarly, Krishna D. Singh, a lab assistant, was suspended based on fabricated charges.

This case dragged on for nearly six years, with continuous allegations and counter-allegations. However, during the police investigation, no evidence was found against Tayade and Singh. Finally, after two years of legal battles, the police have filed a case under the Atrocity Act against 158 people associated with the college.

The case has caused chaos within the institution, as almost the entire college staff of 160 members is now under legal scrutiny.
