False Cases Against Tushar Kharat: A Blow to Press Freedom

• False Cases Filed Against Tushar Kharat; Allegations of Suppressing Dissent

Sprouts News Network

Dahiwadi Police Station has registered several alleged false cases against Tushar Kharat under BNS Sections 338, 308(2), 61(2), and 356(2). These charges include tampering with sensitive documents, a ₹5 crore extortion case, and deliberate defamation of a public representative engaged in social service.

Critics argue that this is a politically motivated move by those in power, using government and police machinery to silence opposition voices. Journalists and organizations must stand together against such actions, as what is happening to Tushar today could happen to anyone tomorrow.

The attempts to suppress media freedom and force journalists into submission are highly condemnable. Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis must intervene immediately to ensure justice.
