In a devastating turn of events, an FIR has been registered against Nagi Reddy and four of his associates for allegedly embezzling ₹80 crore from the Shreya Group of Companies. The accused—Muskan Gulistan, Birendar Dubey, AK Tiwari, and Brajesh Kumar- are under investigation for orchestrating a highly coordinated financial fraud that left the company reeling.

• Shreya Group Betrayed: Personal Funds Exploited

Investigations have revealed that the stolen ₹80 crore was taken from the personal account of Shreya Group Chairman, Shri Hemant Kumar Rai. The accused exploited Rai’s trust, fabricating false emergencies such as a supposed home rebuilding need and convincing him to lend money under false pretenses. When the chairman demanded repayment, the accused not only refused but also resorted to blackmail, threatening to ruin his reputation and demanding additional funds under duress.

• A “Sprouting” Web of Fraudulent Financial Maneuvers

The FIR, filed at the Hazratganj Police Station in Lucknow, highlights a series of dubious financial manipulations orchestrated by the accused. They allegedly funneled money through complex means and eventually absconded with the stolen funds. Authorities are now tracing their movements to recover the assets and piece together how such a large-scale fraud went undetected for so long.

• Attempts to Derail Justice: A Sprout of Intimidation

In a shocking twist, Nagi Reddy reportedly filed a false application against P. Maheshwar, a senior leader at Shreya Group, accusing him of misconduct. Late at night, Maheshwar was unlawfully detained at the 3 Town Police Station in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. This was reportedly a deliberate attempt to intimidate Shreya Group’s leadership and derail recovery efforts, adding another layer to the fraudulent activities of the accused.

• Shreya Group’s Defiant Stand

In response to these allegations, Shreya Group has unequivocally denied any wrongdoing on their part. A spokesperson for the company stated:

“Nagi Reddy and his associates have not only defrauded us of ₹80 crore but have also attempted to obstruct the path to justice with baseless accusations. We remain determined to recover our stolen funds and will continue to pursue all legal avenues to hold the culprits accountable.”

• Police Investigation Underway

The Lucknow police have confirmed that they are actively investigating the case, with charges against the accused including criminal breach of trust, conspiracy, and financial fraud under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Authorities are collaborating with the Kurnool police to track down the accused and collect vital evidence.

• A Call for Justice

As the investigation intensifies, Shreya Group is urging authorities to expedite the process and bring the perpetrators to justice. With ₹80 crore at stake, along with the company’s reputation, the pressure is mounting on law enforcement to take swift action. This case has raised serious concerns about the vulnerability of businesses to financial fraud and highlights the urgent need for stronger safeguards against corporate wrongdoing.

The Shreya Group fraud case is a stark reminder of how greed can “sprout” from trusted relationships and destroy the very foundations of business integrity. As the investigation unfolds, it remains to be seen whether justice will be served and the stolen assets recovered.
