Deputy Director Dr. B. Srinivas issued a direct order:

“Clarify the ₹32 lakh fee immediately! Upload year-wise breakup on the MCC portal without delay.”

In response to an RTI request (PRSEC/R/E/25/00516) filed by affected students, Health Ministry Undersecretary Anant Kumar casually diverted responsibility by forwarding the query to the National Medical Commission (NMC) on June 6, admitting:

“No information available… check the portal.”

Ironically, NMC had already issued seven directives between January and May 2025 to the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra, demanding:

• A probe into the illegal 5th-year fee

• Submission of Action Taken Reports within 7 days

Dr. Pawar:
