The hospital has become a slaughterhouse
Brahmakumari Global Hospital and Research Centre at Andheri, functioning since 2012 does not have the Nursing Home license. Despite this the delicate and critical surgeries like neuro surgeries, are being performed by the hospital rampantly. Sometimes the patients have succumbed due to faulty surgeries. Yet the hospital has been running this slaughterhouse unauthorisedly.
The spiritual Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya aims at providing service to humanity. However the business of earning crores of rupees through this illegal business is flourishing in the hospital.
In fact under the pretext of spiritualism, this slaughter house has been engaged in killing gullible and innocent patients. The hospital has blessings of the officers of the BMC, Charity Commission, Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine and elected representatives. Such accusations are being levelled with proof by the relatives of the patients who succumbed due to the negligence of the doctors and hospital administration time and again. These activities go on since crores of rupees change hands, they have said.
The hospital is also accused of unauthorisedly removing the kidneys of the deceased patients. However the hospital administration has been managing the Govt/semi-Govt authorities and elected representatives by greasing their palms.
The 7th floor of the hospital is illegal. Besides, the hospital has had no fire compliant certificate since 2012. This was revealed by the Sprouts earlier. After that on April 07, the Fire Brigade directed the hospital to comply with the formalities. In response the hospital administration submitted required documents to the fire brigade but they were not in accordance with the regulations. Also, the hospital has not been following fire safety norms. The fire resistance system is inactive and inoperative. However the fire brigade officials are maintaining the silence due to their vested interest.
How the renowned spiritual organisation like Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya has been protecting this unauthorised hospital, is the mute question that angers the public. The Vishwavidyalaya claims to be running 8500 branches in 37 nations. But its tolerance towards these inhuman activities by the hospital, in the name of public service, has raised doubts in the minds of the people.
Hospital Administrative Director and Trustee B K Yogini Bhuptrai Vora and Medical Director Dr. Ashok Mehta could not be reached for reaction.
