Following the court’s decision, hundreds of citizens in Roha took to the streets, demanding justice for the victim. Protesters raised slogans like “The rapists must be hanged,” “Shame on the investigation agencies,” and “Set up an SIT now.” The protest march began at Ram Maruti Chowk and culminated at the Tehsil office. A large number of women participated in the march, while the victim’s relatives broke down in tears, demanding justice for their lost daughter.

Demand for SIT Probe and Accountability for Investigation Failures
As the protest reached the Tehsil office, Sub-Divisional Officer Dnyaneshwar Khutwad addressed the gathering and assured the aggrieved family that the case would be taken to the High Court. A formal memorandum was submitted to Khutwad, demanding the appointment of a Special Investigation Team (SIT), suspension of negligent investigating officers, and a fresh inquiry into the case.
