Three separate police raids on ladies bars in Navi Mumbai have resulted in action against 87 people, including managers, waiters, female waitresses and customers, over alleged licence violations, indecent conduct and breaches of bar operating conditions.
Navi Mumbai Police have intensified enforcement against alleged violations at ladies bars after coordinated raids at three establishments in the Panvel region led to legal action against a total of 87 individuals. According to police, the operations targeted bars allegedly operating beyond permitted hours while female waitresses were reportedly engaging in obscene gestures to attract customers.
The three establishments identified in the police action are Kalam Punjab Ladies Bar at Taloja Naka Nawa Fata, Crazy Star Bar and Restaurant in Nerul Shiravane, and Internet Bar and Restaurant under Khandeshwar Police Station limits. Separate police teams conducted the raids based on specific intelligence inputs received by different police units.
Taloja Raid Leads to Action Against 21 People
According to police, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell conducted a raid on Kalam Punjab Ladies Bar at Taloja Naka Nawa Fata after receiving information about alleged irregularities at the establishment.
Police stated that the bar was allegedly operating beyond its permitted hours and that female waitresses were allegedly making obscene gestures and body movements to attract customers. Authorities subsequently detained the bar manager, waiters, and female waitresses along with customers.
In total, 21 persons were taken into custody during the operation. Police confirmed that a criminal case has been registered at Taloja Police Station.
The operation was reportedly carried out under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Pruthviraj Ghorpade, following intelligence received by the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell.
Nerul Operation Targets Crazy Star Bar
In another operation, Koparkhairane Police raided Crazy Star Bar and Restaurant, located in Shiravane, Nerul, at approximately 2:30 am after receiving information that the establishment was allegedly functioning beyond its licensed operating hours.
According to police, the information had been received by Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare, who instructed Koparkhairane Police to verify the allegations and initiate appropriate action.
During the inspection, officers allegedly found female waitresses behaving obscenely. Police further alleged that the establishment had violated orchestra licence conditions.
Authorities took action against 33 persons, including 12 female waitresses, six managers, cashiers and waiters, along with 15 customers, in connection with the alleged violations.

Khandeshwar Police Register Case Against 33
A separate enforcement drive by Khandeshwar Police resulted in legal action against 33 individuals following a raid on Internet Bar and Restaurant in Navi Mumbai.
Police alleged that the establishment was operating beyond its authorised timing and violating licence conditions. Officers also claimed that female waitresses were engaging in obscene acts and that bar management and staff were encouraging such conduct.
According to the police version, criminal cases have been registered against female waitresses, the manager and other employees. Further legal proceedings are underway in accordance with applicable laws.
Enforcement Drive Against Licence Violations
The three raids form part of an ongoing enforcement campaign by Navi Mumbai Police targeting alleged violations of licence conditions at ladies bars across the city.
Police have stated that establishments operating beyond permitted hours or violating licensing norms could face criminal action. Authorities are also examining whether additional regulatory violations occurred at the three bars during the inspections.
