The United States Department of Commerce posted on social media, highlighting the announcement. India joined the United States and 24 other countries to help ensure future networks support shared security interests, competitiveness and innovation, the department said.

The move comes as governments around the world are increasingly looking at emerging technologies expected to drive economic growth, digital connectivity and technological leadership in the decades to come.

ISRO successfully launched the GSLV-F17 carrying EOS-05 into its designated sub-geosynchronous transfer orbit from Sriharikota early Friday. Clark also said Astra was the first OpenAI release where earlier models had a supervisory role during training, a significant departure in development methods.
