The Sprouts Special Investigation Team has unearthed a major education scam involving Gautam Singhania Global School (GSGS), which was allegedly started to exploit the brand name of the prestigious Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School.
Misusing the Legacy of a Reputed Institution
Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, established in 1969 by the late industrialist-philanthropist Gopalkrishna Singhania, was founded with a noble cause and strong values. Over the decades, it gained a reputation so powerful that every parent aspired to enroll their children there. It was later managed by Vijaypat Singhania, ensuring it upheld its commitment to quality education.
However, in an attempt to cash in on this reputation, Gautam Singhania opened GSGS (Gautam Singhania Global School) in Thane under his own name. Shockingly, orientation programs for GSGS were conducted within Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School itself, misleading parents into believing both institutions were connected.
Shocking Role of Dr. Revathi Srinivasan
Dr. Revathi Srinivasan, the Principal of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, is known for delivering grand speeches on ethics and values. However, it has now been revealed that she simultaneously holds the position of Director-Education at GSGS, raising serious ethical concerns.
Illegal Operations for Two Years- No Approvals Taken
Before launching GSGS, Singhania failed to obtain the necessary permissions and clearances from the concerned authorities. Despite this, the school functioned illegally for two years, collecting a staggering ₹1,50,000 per student from over 1,000 students.
With such massive earnings, the school management confidently believes no legal action can harm them. This shocking revelation has left parents furious and demanding accountability.
Sprouts Demands Justice!
– Parents must verify school approvals before admissions to protect their children’s futures.
– Sprouts will file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Mumbai High Court to ensure strict action against illegal school operators.
– Non-bailable offenses must be filed against those responsible for this scam.
