According to officials, the officer had been experiencing a difficult period in his personal life when he began communicating with the woman through social media platforms.

The online interaction allegedly developed into regular video calls, creating circumstances that investigators subsequently examined as part of the suspected honey-trapping operation. Delhi Police details arrest and Official Secrets Act case

The Delhi Police said the serving officer was arrested on May 30, 2026, after a complaint was filed by the Indian Air Force concerning the allegations.
