The business of awarding bogus PhD flourishing in Maharashtra, But the Governor is silent

The Sprouts had exposed the clandestine business worth crores of awarding bogus PhDs going on unhindered in Maharashtra. However, no action was taken by the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. This is the most shameful development in the history of Maharashtra.

PM Narendra Modi’s brother Pralhad Modi too was awarded the bogus PhD. After the matter was exposed by the Sprouts, there was a furore across the country. The mastermind behind the bogus PhD racket and so called “Scientist” Madhu Krishan had a meeting with Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and he also had breakfast with him.

In another incident, a program of awarding bogus PhDs was organised in Raj Bhavan. This matter was exposed by Sprouts for the first time. However the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has not taken any action yet.

► ‘Waze’ of Raj Bhavan

As against this, Governor’s secretary Ulhas Munakekar who has been ensuring the entry of bogus people into Raj Bhavan, is being shielded. Munagekar has been allowing anti-social people in the Raj Bhavan and collecting money from them. He has been continuing in Raj Bhavan unauthorisedly since long. Munagekar has been collecting money in Raj Bhavan like suspended police officer Sachin Waze. Social worker and lawyer Dilip Inkar has demanded a probe into the crores of rupees amassed by Munagekar.

► The issues under the Governor’s jurisdiction are also managed

Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has thrown open the doors of Raj Bhavan to the public. This is appreciable. However he did not solve any problem related to education or any other field. He is interested only in felicitation programs. Taking disadvantage of Koshyari over enthusiasm, Munagekar suppressed many scams, by collecting huge money and did not allow them to reach up to Koshyari, Sr Journalist Mahendra Gawade alleged.

► Permission sought to lodge a complaint against the Governor’s Secretary

Vikas Kuchekar, President, Human Rights Protection And Awareness, in a letter to Maharashtra Chief Secretary, has sought the permission to register an offence against the Governor’s secretary.
