PadelPark India will organize the one-day exhibition event at the Dome SVP Stadium (NSCI), Worli, Mumbai on August 29. Organizers are expecting more than 4,000 spectators.
The event comes on the back of strong growth for padel in India, with growing infrastructure, increasing participation, and growing investment from businesses and sporting stakeholders.
Organizers say India now has a thriving padel community with over 100,000 active players. The inclusion of the sport as an official medal sport at the Asian Games recently has also stirred up more interest.
Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia to Lead Star-Studded Padel Showcase
For the first time in front of an Indian audience, the world’s number one pair in international padel, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, will take to the court during the exhibition.
Alfonso Sanchez and Anton Sanz will also participate, giving international depth to the event. The internationally ranked professionals will face off against and against the world’s No. 1 duo.
