Nagothane, Raigad: A molestation case has been registered against Ramesh Dhanawade, identified as a Public Relations Officer associated with Reliance, following allegations made by a woman contractor regarding an incident that allegedly occurred during a contract renewal discussion.
According to the complaint filed with Nagothane Police Station, the incident reportedly took place on June 4, 2026, at approximately 12:15 pm inside the Reliance Estate Office at Bense in Raigad district.
Police records indicate that the complainant had earlier received a contract from Reliance at Bense for the construction of a drainage line in the Jhotirpada area. The contract was reportedly due for renewal after the completion of its one-year term.

Allegations Linked to Contract Renewal Discussion
According to the First Information Report, discussions initially focused on the extension of the existing contract. However, the complainant alleged that the conversation later took an inappropriate turn during the meeting.
The woman alleged that Ramesh Dhanawade suggested that the matter could have been discussed at a hotel rather than at the office and allegedly indicated that the contract renewal could be facilitated there.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly held the complainant’s right hand and engaged in conduct that she considered inappropriate and insulting to her dignity.
The complainant stated that the alleged incident occurred inside a professional workplace, making the experience particularly distressing. The allegations have not been tested in court and remain subject to investigation.
Police officials have not publicly disclosed whether any independent witnesses were present inside the cabin at the time of the alleged incident.
