Hero MotoCorp has launched the Glamour X ABS in India, priced at Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) with the new ABS system. The Glamour X ABS is an important update to Hero’s best-selling 125cc commuter motorcycle range.

The new iteration is the first in the 125cc segment to get a single-channel Anti-lock Braking System along with an Integrated Braking System to enhance safety features in a fiercely competitive segment.

The new motorcycle will be available at Hero MotoCorp’s authorised dealerships across the country from September 11, 2026, and will get several feature and styling upgrades.

The company has introduced two new colours, Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey, to complement its existing Black Pearl Red and Black Teal Blue paint schemes.

Hero Glamour X ABS Expands Safety Technology in 125cc Segment

The Hero Glamour X gets Anti-lock Braking System technology for the first time since its launch in August 2025 with the launch.

The motorcycle was launched last year at a starting price of Rs 89,999 ex-showroom in New Delhi and is aimed at technology-led commuter mobility.

The motorcycle continues to offer safety features such as Panic Brake Alert and Hazard Lamps along with the new ABS system to increase the rider’s visibility in an emergency.

The Panic Brake Alert system alerts trailing vehicles with fast-flashing LED winkers during sudden braking events. Hero MotoCorp said it increases awareness and road safety.

This development is an example of a broader trend in the Indian commuter motorcycle market, where consumers are demanding more sophisticated safety systems that were previously only available on premium motorcycles.

Industry observers say makers are vying to woo younger riders who want feature-rich and connected mobility solutions, and safety technologies have become a key differentiator.
