Kawasaki India has launched the 2027 Vulcan S at Rs 8.23 lakh ex-showroom, marking a Rs 10,000 increase over the outgoing model. The updated cruiser gets a new Metallic Carbon Grey and Metallic Bluish Green dual-tone finish, replacing the earlier single-tone option. Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged, retaining its 649cc parallel-twin engine, six-speed gearbox, dual-channel ABS and existing suspension setup. The Vulcan S also continues with a 705mm saddle height, 221kg kerb weight and 14-litre fuel tank.

Kawasaki India has launched the 2027 Vulcan S at Rs 8.23 lakh with a new dual-tone colour and a slight price hike, but the same old mechanical package.
2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S price in India: The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S is priced at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 10,000 more than the outgoing motorcycle. The updated cruiser gets a new two-tone paint scheme but keeps the current cycle parts, features and engine.
The new Metallic Carbon Grey + Metallic Bluish Green colour replaces the previous single-tone Metallic Flat Spark Black option. Kawasaki hasn’t made any major mechanical or equipment changes to the motorcycle despite the model-year update.
Kawasaki Vulcan S retains its cruiser hardware
The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S still has telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock with preload adjustment. Stopping is provided by disc brakes on both ends, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
It features a tubular diamond frame and rides on 18in front and 17in rear wheels. It is fitted with 120/70 front and 160/60 rear section tyres respectively.
The cruiser has a saddle height of 705 mm and weighs 221 kg. The ground clearance of 130 mm is still relatively limited. Kawasaki still offers adjustable clutch and brake levers, in addition to adjustable footpegs.
The Vulcan S retains its long, low cruiser stance, foot-forward riding position, backbone-style rear frame and under-engine muffler. All of these elements still define its overall design and riding ergonomics.

649cc Kawasaki engine continues unchanged
The engine is identical to the one powering the 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S, a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin petrol engine with a six-speed gearbox. The motor produces 60.2bhp at 7,500 revs
The engine produces a peak torque of 62.4 Nm at 6,600 rpm, which is 1.4 Nm more than the previous version. The motorcycle comes with a 14-litre fuel tank capacity too.
The Vulcan S retains an analogue-style tachometer and a multifunction instrument cluster. The screen also shows a speedometer, gear position and economical riding indicator.
Kawasaki has also kept the sculpted seat with thick padding on the motorcycle, focusing on rider comfort. So, the overall package remains pretty much the same with the MY27 designation.
2027 Vulcan S enters competitive cruiser segment
The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S will compete against motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 in India. Also expected to join the fray when it arrives in showrooms is the upcoming Honda Rebel 500.
The Vulcan S occupies a unique position in Kawasaki India’s line-up with a low-ish seat height, a parallel-twin engine and adjustable rider controls.
Kawasaki’s latest update to the motorcycle is part of the company’s wider 2027 model-year launch in India. The company began rolling out MY27 motorcycles in July, starting with the Ninja 300.
Kawasaki launched the new Versys 1100 in India last week, and the Versys 650 and Ninja 500 were launched in August. The 2027 MY27 update marks the fifth refresh for the Vulcan S.
