Kawasaki has launched the Kawasaki Z300 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.24 lakh, positioning it as the entry-level model in its Z-series range. Based on the Ninja 300, the street-naked motorcycle uses a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing around 39hp and 26.1Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. It features Sugomi-inspired styling, an upright handlebar, dual-channel ABS and a reverse-LCD instrument cluster. The Z300 is available in two colour options and competes with performance-oriented naked motorcycles

Kawasaki Z300 Launched in India at Rs 3.24 Lakh, Undercuts Ninja 300

Kawasaki has launched the street-naked Z300 motorcycle in India at Rs 3.24 lakh, taking the fight to the Ninja 300 with its twin-cylinder performance and new equipment.

Kawasaki Z300 launched in India as a new entry-level sports-naked motorcycle at Rs 3.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike is based on the Ninja 300 and is priced around Rs 10,000 less than its fully-faired sibling, which costs Rs 3.34 lakh.

The bike was first showcased at a private dealer event in Bengaluru, and subsequently, Kawasaki posted pictures and videos on its official social media handles. Like other twin-cylinder bikes of the brand, the Z300 will be imported via the completely built-up (CBU) route.

Kawasaki Z300 Launch in India and Design Features

The Kawasaki Z300 is built on the company’s Sugomi design language and adopts styling cues from larger Z-series bikes, especially the Z900. It will be available in two colours – Black and Lime Green – aimed at riders looking for an aggressive, street-focused design.

The exterior is highlighted by triple-element LED headlights, a single-piece upright handlebar, a sculpted fuel tank and a split-seat configuration. However, the indicators are halogen bulbs, not LEDs, to differentiate from the motorcycle’s modern headlight arrangement.

Kawasaki has fitted the Z300 with 37mm right-side-up (RSU) telescopic front forks instead of upside-down suspension, a decision that keeps costs competitive. The motorcycle also gets the reverse-LCD instrument cluster from the Ninja 500, which includes connectivity features such as turn-by-turn navigation.

Kawasaki Z300 Specifications and Engine Performance

The single-piece handlebar is designed to give an upright riding position and more relaxed ergonomics for everyday riding. The Z300 is also lighter than the Ninja 300 since it doesn’t have a full fairing, although no specific kerb weight is mentioned in the information we have.

Brakes: 290mm front disc, 220mm rear disc. The motorcycle gets 17-inch alloy wheels and comes with a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard for better braking control.

Power comes from the usual 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol motor shared with the Ninja 300. The engine produces 38.4 bhp at 11,000rpm and a maximum torque of 26.1Nm at 10,000rpm through a six-speed gearbox.

With this, the Z300 joins the small group of bikes in its segment that feature a twin-cylinder engine. Its specs combine proven mechanical hardware with updated instrumentation and a street-naked riding position.

Kawasaki Z300 Rivals in the Indian Market

Power comes from the same 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol motor that does duty in the Ninja 300. The engine is a 4-stroke 8-valve SOHC producing 38.4bhp at 11,000rpm and a maximum torque of 26.1Nm at 10,000rpm with a six-speed gearbox.

Thus, the Z300 joins the select band of bikes in this segment with a twin-cylinder engine. Its specifications combine tried-and-true mechanical hardware with refreshed instrumentation and a street-naked riding position. As reported by Sprouts News, prospective buyers will also weigh its imported status and equipment against competing motorcycles before making a purchase decision.
